FFF holds an Annual Petrified Wood Seminar in March of each
year. The upcoming seminar will be the 11th annual seminar.
Paleobotonist Walt Wright discusses the fossilization of wood;
it's age, origin, and occurrence, and how to identify kinds of
petrified wood with simple tools.
An Annual Gemboree Tailgater is held each year at the Kennedy
Mine. There are dealers in fossils, a fossil auction, an evening
potluck and a pancake breakfast. Tours of the mine are also
available.
The December Meeting is generally a Holiday Dinner Meeting.
The evening brings good food, good fun, and good friends.  It is
held at a restaurant of choice where a fine meal is prepared, the
celebration of the holidays is enjoyed, and the installation of the
next years officers is held.
The summer brings a variety of field trips for members to enjoy.
Some favorite sites are revisited and some new ones are explored.
If you are interested in any of these activities, Contact Us and
leave your name, phone #, and event you are interested in and the
appropriate Member will get back to you.
